Our mission is to restore the mental, physical, and emotional health and vitality of disabled combat veterans, rescue horses, and animals in a tranquil, structured environment while providing housing, meals, optional mental health services, financial management as a part of a rehabilitation program.
Hiatus Ranch sits on 40 acres that will include living quarters for up to 5 veterans. The Ranch currently has a hay barn, a ranch house, and an indoor riding arena.
We provide weekend, 14-day, and 30-day retreat experiences for combat veterans and first reponders. Retreat participants stay on the ranch, interact and care for horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, donkeys, goats, and other rescue animals.
Participants have daily chores and projects to accomplish.
When humans are able to take space in an environment that is supportive, structured, and secure, we are able to breathe deeply and pause to reflect our lives–where we’ve been, and where we want to go.
At Hiatus Ranch, we are working hard to be a world-renowned provider of safe spaces that allow some of the most vulnerable of us to regain control of their lives.
